The Atlantic wakame is a cousin of the Asian wakame. They both belong to the same family. Cooks say the taste of the Atlantic wakame is even better than the Asian one. It is slighty sweet taste and a great texture and colour. This locally (in EU) cultivated product is a very good alternative for the Asian wakame. This sea vegetable is cultivated in the prestine Norwegian waters. Like the Asian wakame it can be used in soups, salads, hybrid-fish- and plant based products.
